My Approach

So happy you’re here. Finding the right therapist is so important, and I encourage everyone to keep looking because I am just not it. Just kidding, I could be. I was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. I am half Caucasian, half Latina, and believe representation in therapy matters. I hope to see more representation in therapy rooms soon. I have worked in Hospitals, Churches, Correctional Facilities, Drug Addiction and Domestic Violence Rehabilitation Centers, and Shelters for friends experiencing homelessness in some variation since my 20’s. I have always loved listening and gravitate towards the unusual or outcast, likely because I felt I was that in many ways. My friends and family call me loyal, kind, and refreshing. I know my strengths as a therapist are helping clients (especially anti-social, introverted, homebodies, neurodivergent, or eccentrics) feel welcomed and can acknowledge them in their suffering. I believe grief can be both beautiful and utterly earth shattering in the same breath. “Unshockable” is a word I use often in my therapy room. I am able to carry tension comfortably so you can become curious how to. I hope for you to feel more peaceful, curious, and vibrant in the skin, heart, plans, and brain you have been given when you leave a therapy session.

My ideal client could be someone carrying the weight of a childhood or recent trauma — and is dealing with the PTSD, grief and loss, or isolating addiction that lingers as a result. Another ideal client could be experiencing a deep discontentment with their purpose, their relationships, their career path, or their faith. They do not have to be Christian or align with my Belief as a Christian. They may be wrestling with big questions: where am I, how did I get here, and what am I being supposed to do next? Together, we'll create a space to explore the pain, untangle the messy, and move toward restoration and purpose! I am a therapist who has not "arrived" — I am on my own journey as well, growing and learning right alongside my clients with compassion, care, accountability, and oftentimes a bit of humor.

I consider myself an Existential and Attachment Based Therapist. I also incorporate Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems into my practice. Prayer and homework are integral tools used in my practice, but only upon request.
